Golden 1 Credit Union Announces Additional $1 Million Grant Opportunity for Collaborative Projects Serving Sacramento’s Del Paso Heights Neighborhood
August 25, 2026, Sacramento, CA
Applications open through Sept. 30 for eligible organizations seeking funding for partnership-based projects
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Aug. 25, 2026 – Golden 1 Credit Union (Golden 1) is pleased to announce the opening of its Request for Proposals (RFP) process for a two-year grant program supporting projects that benefit Sacramento’s Del Paso Heights neighborhood. As part of Golden 1’s commitment to Del Paso Heights, this 2026-28 grant opportunity will provide roughly $1 million in grants ranging from $40,000 to $200,000, distributed over a two-year period, for collaborative projects proposed by two or more nonprofit, school, or government entities working together.
“Through Golden 1's work in Del Paso Heights, we've seen some of the most meaningful progress come from organizations working together to address community needs,” said Erica Taylor, senior vice president of community impact and public relations officer for Golden 1 Credit Union. “This grant round is designed to support those partnerships and build on that momentum.”
Successful applications will demonstrate how the proposed collaboration will strengthen Del Paso Heights through youth and young adult development, housing stability, community development and enrichment, and neighborhood beautification. Organizations do not need to be based in Del Paso Heights, provided their proposed projects benefit neighborhood residents and align with priorities identified in the community roadmap guiding Golden 1's investment in the area.
Grant applications will be accepted through Sept. 30, 2026. Awardees will be announced in December 2026, with the first half of grant funding distributed at that time and the second half distributed in December 2027.
Information sessions for prospective applicants will be held via Zoom on Aug. 27 and Sept. 10, 2026, from 12 to 1 p.m.
